Charli xcx has officially manifested her own song. The singer is the cover star of Playboy’s latest issue, published Wednesday, Sept. 16, with a shoot by longtime collaborator Aidan Zamiri that took place around London, including on a boat on the Thames. The photos feature black lingerie and underwear looks that lean fully into the magazine’s iconic aesthetic, and Charli told Playboy she’s wanted to do this for a while.
The cover story interview was conducted by none other than Kylie Jenner, Charli’s costar in The Moment. In it, Charli explained her love of the brand’s logo, underwear, female bodies and what she calls“full-out sexiness.”She also got candid about attraction, admitting that“being, like, a tiny bit avoidant”is a toxic trait she finds hot, the kind of quote that’s already all over social media.
Then comes the take that’s really got people talking: Charli says Jack Black is sexy. Her reasoning is simple. He’s funny, talented, cool and original, and people who are just doing their own thing become attractive by default. Elle and Dakota Fanning apparently share the sentiment.
