Chad Lowe's LA Community Rallies Around His Family After Daughter Fiona's Death at 13

Chad Lowe and his family are navigating an unimaginable loss. Fiona Lowe, the actor’s 13-year-old daughter, died by suicide on Sept. 29 in a Los Angeles hospital, according to the LA Medical Examiner. The family issued a brief statement asking for prayers and privacy during this time.

In response, families from Fiona’s school organized meal trains and GoFundMe pages to help. The Lowe family kindly declined, choosing to keep their grief within a very small, private circle. The school’s principal sent two emails to parents, acknowledging the difficult week and reminding families that counseling and wellness support remain available on campus for students and staff. The Lowes have also faced hardship recently, having lost their home in the Pacific Palisades fire in January 2025.
