Chad Lowe, wife Kim Painter, and daughters Mabel and Nixie attended a family wedding in Santa Barbara on Saturday, the first time the family has appeared in public since 13-year-old Fiona died by suicide on Sept. 29. The couple’s nephew Matthew Lowe married Emily Markus in a ceremony officiated by Gwyneth Paltrow, with Cameron Diaz, Adam Levine, Katy Perry, Zoe Saldaña, Maria Shriver and more in attendance. Chad sat next to Chris Pratt, and Rob Lowe’s family sat two rows ahead.
Chad previously shared that Fiona“was adored by her sisters and she was deeply loved by her parents. In fact, she was the light of our lives.”Mabel, 17, wrote her own tribute:“I love you so much fiona i wish your short time here was easier and i hope your mind is at ease now.”
The ceremony brought together family members who don’t always share a tent, which makes the decision to show up even more notable.
