Carrot Top is back in the public eye. The comedian, born Scott Christopher Thompson, was photographed leaving St. Joseph, Husband of Mary Roman Catholic Church in Las Vegas on Sunday. It’s his first public sighting since Sept. 18, when he was found unconscious near his backyard pool and hospitalized in critical condition. His manager had requested a welfare check after receiving a phone call about a forthcoming article on sexual misconduct allegations.

The 61-year-old has been on hiatus from his long-running Luxor residency, the show he’s headlined since 2005. Meanwhile, he’s tangled in a legal battle with former opener Brian Evans, who allegedly demanded $500,000 to keep a sexually explicit video from being released. Thompson’s lawyer says he“never threatened”anyone, while Evans’camp responded with a single word:“done.”

Fans have been flooding social media with messages of support since the church photos surfaced, and the moment has reignited an important conversation about mental health. If you or someone you love is struggling, the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline is available around the clock. What’s your favorite Carrot Top bit of all time?
