Carrot Top Hospitalized in Las Vegas, Luxor Show Canceled: What We Know

Comedian Carrot Top, whose real name is Scott Thompson, was hospitalized Friday in Las Vegas after an alleged suicide attempt, and his Friday night show at the Luxor Hotel and Casino was canceled. His representative, Jami Schlicher, confirmed the hospitalization and said Thompson is recovering and receiving the care and support he needs.

Thompson, 61, has headlined at the Luxor since 2005, one of the longest-running residencies in Vegas. He first rose to fame in the early 1990s, known for his wild props and that unmistakable energy, and has been a pop culture staple ever since. His family says they’re deeply grateful for the concern and prayers and are asking for privacy. No further details on his condition have been released.
