Comedian Carrot Top, whose real name is Scott Thompson, is awake and breathing on his own after being hospitalized in Las Vegas, according to a statement from his team. Sources told TMZ an alleged suicide attempt occurred Friday, and he was taken to a local hospital, where he remains under close medical care. His representative confirmed the hospitalization to Page Six but did not address what led up to it.

The statement from his team says Thompson is continuing to improve and is surrounded by his family and those closest to him.
