Call My Agent! The Movie Is on Netflix: Camille Cottin and the Whole Crew Are Back

Five years after the French comedy Call My Agent! signed off, Netflix has brought the whole agency back for a feature-length reunion. Call My Agent! The Movie puts Camille Cottin’s Andréa in a brand new role: she’s trying to direct her first indie film, which means casting it, financing it, and dealing with her former ASK colleagues who keep circling back with old grievances intact. Grégory Montel, Laure Calamy, Thibault de Montalembert and Fanny Sidney all return, and creator Fanny Herrero co-wrote the screenplay with Lison Daniel.

The guest star tradition is intact too. Vincent Macaigne and Laetitia Casta play versions of themselves, and George Clooney joins the chaos. The film runs about twice the length of a standard episode and features two guest stars instead of one, so it plays like a supersized episode of the show you already loved.

If you watched all four seasons during the pandemic, this is the closure you were owed. If you’re new here, the movie works as a standalone intro to the show’s mix of backstage farce and genuine affection for movies. Just know the final conflict resolves a little too easily. Which guest star are you most excited to see play themselves?
