Call My Agent! Is Back as a Netflix Movie, and George Clooney Came Along

Five years after the series signed off, Call My Agent! has returned to Netflix as a full-length movie, and the entire ASK agency is back on the payroll. Camille Cottin returns as Andréa, this time stepping behind the camera to direct her first indie film, while Grégory Montel’s Gabriel and the rest of the team get pulled into a production that spirals exactly the way you’d hope.

Creator Fanny Herrero co-wrote the film with Lison Daniel, which explains why it feels like a natural extension of the show rather than a cash-grab reunion. The signature conceit is intact too: real celebrities playing themselves, with Laetitia Casta, Vincent Macaigne, and George Clooney all stopping by. At roughly double the length of a standard episode, it’s a supersized farewell rather than a reinvention.

For a lot of us, this show was the official comfort watch of 2020, a French comedy about agents, egos, and the messy business of making movies. If you binged it back then, this is your closure. If you missed it, the movie works as a pretty great entry point. So tell us: what show got you through lockdown, and are you rewatching before you press play?
