Busy Philipps has a clean bill of health. The actress, 47, told People that her oncologist called on September 30 with the news every patient waits for: the scan was clean. And in true Busy fashion, she shared the moment with a little humor, noting that her doctor followed the good news by asking when her new show comes out.
The road there was anything but easy. In August, Philipps revealed that a February Prenuvo full-body scan led to a diagnosis of a rare malignant brain tumor. Doctors removed a 2.6-centimeter mass from her brain in March. A staph infection on her incision then required a follow-up procedure to clear. Remarkably, she booked a brand-new television show on the very same day she learned about the tumor.
Since going public, Philipps has used her platform to encourage women to trust their instincts and push for answers when something feels off. Her message, in her own words: listen to your body, women. It’s a candid reminder that recovery is rarely a straight line, and that advocating for yourself can make all the difference.
