Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz have officially been spotted on the set of“The Mummy 4,”and the photos are already doing serious numbers online. Fraser filmed scenes at a former military base in Suffolk, England, wearing a black leather jacket and driving a silver-and-red rocket car for what’s being described as a record-speed trials sequence. Weisz shot her scenes separately outside the British Museum in London, dressed in a brown cropped jacket, mustard yellow polka-dot midi skirt and a wide-brimmed hat that screams classic Evelyn Carnahan.
The reunion matters because Weisz skipped the third Mummy film back in 2008, meaning this is the first time she and Fraser have shared a production since“The Mummy Returns”in 2001. Also returning: Oded Fehr, John Hannah and Kevin J. O’Connor. The film is directed by Tyler Gillett and Matt Bettinelli-Olpin, the team behind“Ready or Not”and the recent“Scream”installments, which suggests this chapter might lean scarier than the originals fans grew up with.
