After more than three decades running off-Broadway, Blue Man Group is finally headed to Broadway, and they’re doing it with a holiday show.“A New Holiday Surprise”opens at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre with previews beginning November 12 and opening night on November 17, running through January 3. It marks both the group’s Broadway debut and their first-ever holiday production.
The show will feature classic holiday music performed on Blue Man Group’s signature custom instruments, along with the visual and comedic surprises the trio has been known for since the 1980s.“This is exactly how we envisioned the iconic trio would re-enter the New York marketplace,”said Marie-Josée Adam, president and CEO of Blue Man Group, promising“a few twists that only Blue Man could pull off.”
If New York isn’t your city, the show also plays Chicago’s CIBC Theatre from November 24 to December 13 and Boston’s Boch Center-Wang Theatre from December 15 to 23, with more tour dates to be announced. Citi cardmember pre-sale is underway, artist pre-sale starts September 24 at 10 a.m. ET, and general public tickets go on sale September 25 at 10 a.m. ET.
