The tension traces back to Griffin’s 2025 memoir“The Tell,”which is at the center of a lawsuit from a former classmate who claims the book’s abuse story was taken from her. Griffin denied the allegation and filed a defamation countersuit in June. Bush has covered the legal fight on his podcast, and he says Griffin also approached his girlfriend, Allison Wise, asking how she could be with someone“abusing”her.
