Drew Campbell walked out of the Big Brother house in third place after 87 days, but the sting didn’t really hit until after the finale. Jurors told him he likely would have beaten Taylor Brown in a final two, a revelation he called“kind of heartbreaking”in a new interview with Page Six.

Rick Devens won the final Head of Household, chose Taylor for the finale, and went on to take the $750,000 with six of seven jury votes, including Campbell’s. The 22-year-old surgical dental assistant said Devens played the best game and earned the vote, even though Campbell knows he was one competition away from potentially winning it all.

There’s no bad blood between the two, either. Right after the confetti, Devens hugged Campbell and apologized, and Campbell says he loves him. They haven’t talked much since the finale, but the respect is clearly mutual. Reality TV fans know that’s not always how these endings go. Would you have voted for the person who evicted you? Sound off in the comments.
