Ariel Winter Says She'd Rather Not Live in LA, and Her New Nashville Life Is the Reason

Ariel Winter has made her choice, and it’s not Los Angeles. The Modern Family alum told Page Six she’d prefer not to live in LA, and she’s serious enough that she bought a home near Nashville, in College Grove, for $2.9 million back in May 2022. Her reasoning is refreshingly simple: she wanted seasons, snow, a slower pace, and distance from paparazzi so she could live like a normal person.

So what’s the verdict on Tennessee? She calls it“so peaceful and calm, and normal in a way that LA isn’t.”That said, she’s honest about the hard part. Her family and friends are still in LA, and being away from them is tough. When she does fly back, she stays with former TV brother Nolan Gould, which is a pretty sweet reminder that the Modern Family cast is still close years later.
