Spotify announced September 16 that all 58 of her official videos are now available to premium subscribers, spanning 2006’s“Tim McGraw”through the Showgirl era singles“The Fate of Ophelia”and“Opalite.”Fans can watch on the app, desktop web browsers and TVs, and switch between audio and video modes whenever they want. Spotify also assembled every video into one playlist, so browsing the full run takes seconds instead of a search bar deep dive.
The numbers behind that catalog are wild. Swift holds the record for VMA video of the year wins with five:“Bad Blood,”“You Need to Calm Down,”“All Too Well: The Short Film,”“Anti-Hero,”and“Fortnight”featuring Post Malone. That’s more than two decades of visuals in one place, from country-era storytelling to big-budget pop spectacle.
There’s a bigger story here too.“Opalite”premiered on Spotify and Apple Music in February, less than a month before YouTube views stopped counting toward Billboard chart placements. Streaming platforms are clearly pushing to own the music video experience, and landing Swift’s complete collection is a serious move in that competition.
