Alexander Skarsgård has finally achieved his one true acting dream. It wasn’t to play a tortured hero or a brooding villain. It was to have nipples made of wicker. And his new film“Wicker”is making that a glorious reality.
The trailer dropped on July 30, and it reveals Skarsgård as an actual husband woven from wicker by Peter Dinklage’s Basketmaker. Olivia Colman plays the Fisherwoman who orders this custom man, and she has called Skarsgård’s performance under heavy prosthetics“breathtaking.”The dark comedy also features sex scenes choreographed with intimacy coordinator Ita O’Brien. Yes, you read that right.
“Wicker”is based on a 2016 short story and is directed by Alex Huston Fischer and Eleanor Wilson. It arrives in select theaters October 23 with a wide release the following week. Would you ever order a custom partner from a basketmaker? Or would you rather just keep swiping?
