Alanis Morissette has officially announced her first full-length holiday album. Good Weather for Immaculate Conception arrives November 6 with 14 tracks, including two original songs,“Christmas on the Dancefloor”and“To An Empath at Christmas Time.”It marks her first album since 2022’s The Storm Before the Calm.
The guest list is stacked. Lead single“Beautiful Star of Bethlehem”features Brandi Carlile and Steve Martin, while Joy Oladokun joins on“Silent Night,”Amythyst Kiah appears on“Momma Mary,”Trans Voices lends their talents to“O Tannenbaum,”and Martin Short shows up on“Merry Christmas.”The album follows years of standalone holiday singles from Morissette, including 2020’s“Happy Xmas (War Is Over)”and last year’s“O Holy Night.”
Morissette described the project simply:“This record is just so sweet.”She also called it“this labor of Christmas love for me.”With that guest list and two fresh originals in the mix, this one is shaping up to be a holiday season highlight. Which collaboration are you most excited to hear?
