Tinashe is done saying yes to every opening slot that comes her way. At a Spotify x Coach event in New York City, she laid out her new philosophy for tour offers: she only opens for artists who truly understand her artistry. When Harry Styles invited her to join his Together, Together stadium tour, he met that bar. She praised him for being open to the artistry and focused on fans having a great time, which she calls the heart of live performance.
This is a big moment for Tinashe on multiple fronts. She’s never performed her own songs in a stadium before, and now she’s taking on State Farm Stadium in Phoenix on April 2 and 3. Meanwhile, her fifth album Popstar arrives Sept. 25, following 2024’s Quantum Baby. She also just scored a Hot 100 hit with“No Broke Boys,”her Disco Lines collaboration that landed at No. 39.
The Together, Together tour keeps growing too. The 2027 run also hits Pasadena, Dallas, Toronto, Atlanta and Chicago, with a different roster of guests at each stop. Tinashe’s career has already included opening stints for Nicki Minaj, Katy Perry, Beyoncé and Maroon 5, so when she says she’s selective, she means it.
