A TikTok creator known as @deeply.lami has sparked a massive friendship etiquette debate after revealing she declined her friend’s maid of honor request. In the video, she explained that the friendship had drifted to“brunch friend”territory after her friend entered a relationship, with the two only catching up every couple of months.

She initially accepted the role, partly because the bridal party only had three other people in it.
