An 18-year-old“looksmaxxing”influencer with a massive TikTok following has been arrested and charged with possession of child sexual abuse material following a tip from his own girlfriend.

Mason Hull, who had built an audience of more than 350,000 followers on TikTok, was taken into custody on May 6 after investigators in Sarasota County, Florida obtained a search warrant for his mobile phone. According to court documents, the device contained images and videos depicting female children between the ages of 8 and 15 years old—15 counts worth of evidence that would form the basis for his arrest.

The investigation began when Hull’s girlfriend contacted law enforcement on April 30, claiming she’d discovered messages on his Telegram app indicating he’d paid for child pornography. Detectives with the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Unit responded and found materials containing links to websites used to obtain child sexual abuse material, as well as conversations discussing payment for files. Hull’s phone was seized, a search warrant was obtained, and the forensic examination revealed the alleged abuse material.

Hull’s online presence has since gone dark. His TikTok account—once a hub for“looksmaxxing”content, a subculture where mostly young men pursue extreme physical improvements—has been made private. His Instagram, where he’d positioned himself as someone who aims to“maximize people’s potential,”has also been restricted.

On May 7, a judge ordered Hull held on a bond exceeding $100,000. If released, he faces strict conditions: no internet access except to communicate with his attorney, no social media, no contact with minors, and no visits to places frequented by children. The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office has asked anyone with additional information to contact the SCSO Investigations Bureau at (941) 861-4900.

If you or someone you know is experiencing child abuse, the Child Help Hotline is available 24/7 at 1-800-422-4453.
