Awards season officially has its first music nominations, and Taylor Swift is leading the pack. Swift and Jack Antonoff’s“I Knew It, I Knew You”from Toy Story 5 is nominated for song in an animated film at the 2026 Hollywood Music in Media Awards. It’s an early signal that the song could be a major Oscar contender in the original song race.
Ludwig Göransson also had a huge morning, earning three nominations for The Odyssey — one for the score, one for his song“When I’m Home,”and one for its music video. Daniel Pemberton and Mina Samy tied for the most individual nominations with four each, while Diane Warren added yet another nod to her resume for“One Right Here”from Maserati: The Brothers.
The 17th annual HMMA ceremony takes place November 18 at Avalon Hollywood, nearly three months before Oscar nominations are announced on January 21. Given the HMMAs’track record of predicting the music categories, this list is worth saving. Which nomination are you most excited about?
