Talking Heads Reunite September 28 for SiriusXM Channel Launch Hosted by Este Haim

Talking Heads are getting back together, and this time it comes with a soundtrack. David Byrne, Chris Frantz, Jerry Harrison and Tina Weymouth will reunite September 28 in New York for a live, audience-recorded Q&A hosted by Este Haim of HAIM. The event launches Talking Heads Radio on SiriusXM, a channel running October 1 through 22 on satellite radios and through October 31 on the SiriusXM app, featuring five decades of the band’s music. The full reflective conversation airs at noon on launch day.

For longtime fans, this is a big deal. The band’s first public appearance together in over 20 years happened at the 2023 Toronto International Film Festival around the Stop Making Sense re-release, and collective moments like this are rare. A full musical reunion, though, remains off the table. Byrne has consistently dismissed the idea, with bandmates recalling that he asked not to be asked about it again, adding that recreating the feeling of being in your early twenties is a fool’s errand.

So instead of a tour, fans get something arguably more intimate: the four of them in one room, talking through the music with a host who grew up on it.
