Streamer Dodges Jail in Dead Alligator Shooting Deal

Sometimes the internet’s wildest moments come with real consequences—and sometimes, if you play your cards right, those consequences come with an exit ramp.

Clavicular, the“Looksmaxxing”streamer whose viral Everglades livestream featuring gunfire and a dead alligator sparked a full wildlife investigation, got some surprisingly good news in a Miami courtroom on Friday. He reached a deal that keeps a conviction off his permanent record, provided he stays out of trouble for the next six months.

Here’s what the resolution actually looks like: Braden Peters (Clavicular’s real name, per his attorney Jeffrey Neiman) will complete a firearm safety course, finish 20 hours of community service, and take a Florida Fish and Wildlife course online. The catch? He can’t stream or monetize any of that community service—the state made that crystal clear. Adjudication has been withheld, meaning if he checks all the boxes, the case disappears from his record entirely after six months.

Neiman’s statement emphasized that no person was injured and that the alligator involved was already deceased before the livestream incident ever happened. That detail matters legally, even if the optics of shooting at a dead reptile on camera for clout remain…questionable. The attorney added that Peters is“committed to moving forward responsibly and ensuring nothing like this occurs again.”

What’s interesting here isn’t just the slap-on-the-wrist outcome—it’s what it reveals about how quickly viral moments turn into legal headaches, and how quickly those headaches can dissolve if you’ve got the right representation and can show some willingness to comply. Peters dodged jail time and a conviction in exchange for a few courses and some unpaid hours. For a streamer whose entire brand is built on pushing boundaries, that’s a pretty soft landing. The real question is whether this particular internet personality actually learned anything—or whether the lesson here is just that notoriety plus a good lawyer equals a second chance.
