Carmella Garcia is officially single. The Real Housewives of Orange County star confirmed on Page Six’s“Virtual Reali-Tea”podcast that she and boyfriend Danny Hampel ended their relationship after ten years together. The split happened months ago, but Carmella kept it quiet until now. She said Hampel did something“gravely inappropriate”after RHOC season 20 wrapped, and cited dishonesty and a lack of trust as the reasons she walked away.

For Carmella, the decision came down to choosing herself.“I needed to put myself first,”she said, adding,“The ship was sinking, and I needed to save myself.”It’s a raw admission from a reality star who spent a decade building a life with someone. The breakup hasn’t been easy on her family either. Carmella shares four children with ex-husband Jeff Garcia, and she said her sons Jason, 17, and Jax, 15, were affected by the split.

In the middle of all of it, Carmella’s focusing on healing. She’s enlisted therapists to help her and her family move forward. No messy public back-and-forth, no revenge posting, just a mom putting the pieces back together. RHOC fans will no doubt be watching how this unfolds when the show returns.

Do you think it’s harder to leave a relationship after ten years, or is that exactly when you should? Sound off in the comments.
