Thirty-plus years of building a career on connection and community now collides with serious legal allegations. Former“Rap City”host Big Tigger broke his silence on Wednesday following his arrest in Georgia, issuing a categorical denial of the aggravated battery and child cruelty charges leveled against him.

The charges stem from a May domestic dispute at the couple’s home involving Tigger and his wife, Alicia Brown. According to court documents, an argument over text messages Tigger allegedly exchanged with a female co-worker escalated when he began recording Brown with his cellphone. Brown told investigators she attempted to take the device, leading to a physical struggle during which Tigger allegedly tackled her to regain possession of the phone. The child cruelty charge relates to the presence of their 13-year-old son in the home during the confrontation.

In his statement to TMZ, Tigger said he“unequivocally deny[ies] every allegation that has been made against me,”emphasizing his track record as a husband, father, and community figure. He acknowledged being unable to discuss specifics while the matter remains active but expressed“complete confidence in the facts and in the legal process”and pledged continued cooperation as the case moves forward.

The arrest marks a dramatic turn for someone whose career has been defined by trust and visibility in hip-hop culture. Whether the legal process will vindicate his claims or substantiate the allegations remains an open question, but the shadow of these charges now looms over a legacy built on 30 years of relationship-building.
