One Family, Two Teachers, Multiple Investigations: Arizona's Unraveling Scandal

When one investigation wasn’t enough, authorities in Arizona found themselves looking at a second alleged inappropriate relationship involving the same teacher. The Peoria Police Department completed their interview on May 5 regarding accusations against Haley Beck, the sister of social media personality Noah Beck, for having an alleged relationship with a second student. It’s a continuation of what’s already become a damaging case—and it’s far from over.

Haley was fired from her teaching position at Centennial High School in Peoria, Arizona after an independent investigation by the Peoria Unified School District determined she groomed a student and engaged in a sexual relationship with them. The findings were explicit: sexually explicit text messages allegedly sent to an unnamed student became evidence of her misconduct. Now prosecutors are weighing whether to move forward with a pandering charge, according to the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office, which told media outlets on April 29 that the case was still under review following police resubmission of their recommendation.

But the scandal doesn’t stop with Haley. Her mother, Amy Beck, also employed as a teacher at Coyote Hills Elementary School in the same district, found herself under investigation in April after a 2020 video resurfaced online. The school placed her on administrative leave out of an abundance of caution, though they stressed the matter didn’t impact student safety. Amy was cleared to return to work on May 4 after the district addressed concerns about videos published in 2020 and took what they described as appropriate measures.

What makes this situation particularly troubling is the proximity: two educators in the same family, both operating within the same school district, both now entangled in separate investigations. The timing alone raises uncomfortable questions about oversight, institutional accountability, and how these situations managed to develop in the first place. Police continue following up on leads, and prosecutors continue reviewing files. For the families of students in this district, the unfolding details likely feel like a betrayal of the trust they placed in their schools.
