Miley’s 10th studio album is officially here.“Bass Persuades”arrived Sept. 18 with 10 tracks, led by the synth-driven title song, which debuted at No. 35 on the Billboard Hot 100. The rollout started Sept. 1 with a week of cryptic teases, and somewhere in the middle of it, she dropped“Cyrus”from her Instagram handle. She’s just Miley now.
The album follows 2025’s“Something Beautiful,”which debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200. This one leans hard into glossy synth-pop, and the title track’s choreography-heavy video set the tone early. Next up: two headline shows at Los Angeles’Hollywood Bowl on Oct. 16 and 18, her first major performances since the 2022 Attention Tour.
The release also carries an emotional weight. The rollout coincided with the passing of her godmother, Dolly Parton, and Miley’s tribute said everything:“I have an angel by my side. I always have.”
