Mariah Carey Shrugs Off Rock Hall Snub with Signature Sass

Mariah Carey isn’t exactly losing her cool over her absence from the Rock&Roll Hall of Fame’s latest induction list. When caught outside The Peninsula Hotel in New York City, she playfully dismissed the snub, saying she simply doesn’t care and suggesting that the honor should go to someone else. With 19 No. 1 hits under her belt, it’s safe to say that Mariah’s legacy doesn’t hinge on awards, and she seems perfectly fine with that.

Her fans, however, had a different opinion. They voiced their frustrations, insisting Mariah deserves the honor, and she was quick to show her appreciation for their support. She told them she loves them always—classic Mariah! In the same breath, she shared news about a significant life change: she recently bought a new home outside of NYC after putting her long-time residence on the market for a jaw-dropping $27 million. Rock Hall or not, it looks like Mariah is doing just fine, and that’s worthy of a toast!
