Keke Palmer hosted the CFDA Awards 2026 at the American Museum of Natural History, and her red carpet look came straight out of the fashion archives. The host wore a golden Bob Mackie gown with a fully exposed torso, a nude-toned jersey piece featuring glass bead embellishments and a strappy bra top. The dress originally belonged to Raquel Welch, who wore it on a February 1975 episode of“The Cher Show”for a duet with Cher in nearly identical Mackie creations.

Stylist Molly Dickson sourced the gown from vintage purveyor Timeless Vixen, and Palmer finished the look with rings, drop earrings, and her auburn hair in a wavy bob. The moment carries extra weight given Mackie’s recent passing, turning a red carpet appearance into a tribute to one of fashion’s most celebrated designers. Palmer didn’t stop there either, changing into a 1990s Marc Bouwer look and a 1970s Stephen Burrows piece later in the evening.

Three vintage outfits in one hosting gig is a bold move, and it puts Palmer’s fashion choices front and center in a season full of archive revivals. Vintage Mackie gowns have been fetching real money at auction too, with pieces selling in the thousands. Which of Keke’s three looks would you wear? Tell us on social.
