Johnny Bananas Pays Tribute to Tyler Duckworth: 'I Wish I Could Have Sat By Him One More Time'

Tyler Duckworth, who competed on MTV’s The Challenge, has died at 44. His mother announced the news on August 13. Police found Duckworth in his Grand Forks apartment on August 11 after neighbors reported water leaking through the ceiling. Authorities say there are no signs of foul play, and the cause of death has not been determined.

Johnny Bananas, Duckworth’s longtime friend and castmate, told Us Weekly that he regrets losing touch with him before his death.“The one thing I do wish is that I could have just sat by him one more time, just to let him know what he meant to me,”he said. Bananas also praised Duckworth as an underrated physical competitor, remembered for high kicks, wild outfits, and his love of Michelle Kwan, and said he found a passion for teaching and died loving what he was doing.
