Grand Theft Auto VI is already the most anticipated game release in years, and now it’s bringing an entire album with it. Atlantic Records and Rockstar Games announced GTA VI: The Album on September 17, a 34-track project arriving November 19, the same day the game launches. This isn’t a compilation of old licensed hits. These are new songs made to fit the world of Vice City and Leonida.
Six tracks are streaming right now, including“That’s It”from Yung Lean with Future and Metro Boomin. The rest of the featured lineup reads like someone shuffled every genre at once: Travis Scott, PinkPantheress, Morgan Wallen, Rauw Alejandro, and Keith Richards. The GTA series has spent decades turning players onto new music through its in-game radio stations, and this album takes that legacy to a whole new level.
For collectors, there’s more to chase than streams. Vinyl and CD exclusives will be available at multiple retailers. Between the game, the album, and the physical releases, November 19 is shaping up to be an expensive day for fans. Which track are you most hyped for? Let us know in the comments.
