The choir room is reopening. Disney+ and Hulu have officially greenlit a Glee reboot, announced Oct. 21, 2026, with creator Ryan Murphy writing a brand new script and original cast members including Lea Michele set to return. It arrives 11 years after the Fox series signed off, giving a whole new audience a shot at the show that turned cover songs into chart history.

And the chart history part is not an exaggeration. The Glee Cast holds 207 Billboard Hot 100 entries, the fourth-most of any act ever, trailing only Drake, Taylor Swift and Future. To mark the reboot news, Billboard ranked the cast’s 50 biggest Hot 100 hits, led by“Don’t Stop Believin'”at No. 4, with“Loser Like Me”at No. 6 and“Teenage Dream”at No. 8. Those numbers explain why the show’s music still lives on playlists more than a decade later.

A reboot raises the obvious question: what does Glee sound like in 2026? The original ran from 2009 to 2015, so the catalog of songs it never touched is massive. Fans are already debating whether the new version should honor the classics or go all-in on current hits. Which Glee cover do you still have on repeat?
