Titan, a four-year-old from Florida, has spent his whole life hearing only about 30% of normal sound. Born with bilateral sensorineural hearing loss, his speech development lagged behind, and his parents were advised to hold him back from kindergarten. That all shifted in October 2025, when Titan was fitted with his first hearing aids. The moment they switched on, he heard his mom and dad’s voices clearly and burst into the kind of laugh that makes an entire room lose it.

His mom, Kaitlynn Johnson, captured the whole thing on video and shared it on TikTok, where it’s now soared past 1.5 million views. Kaitlynn said she and her husband were both in tears while giggling right along with him, and she shared the clip because she believes Titan’s story has the power to encourage other families navigating childhood hearing loss.

The video is a reminder of how much a single moment of access can change a child’s world, and how the right support at the right time opens doors that once seemed closed. So what’s a sound or voice that instantly makes you smile? Drop it in the comments.
