Bruce Springsteen marked Election Day 2026 with a 45-second Instagram video aimed squarely at election officials and government representatives. The 77-year-old rock legend reminded them of the oath they took to preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution, adding that the duty includes making sure votes are counted securely. He also quoted Thomas Jefferson on the consent of the governed and warned officials never to accept directives that undermine free and fair elections.

The message landed one day after Springsteen endorsed Democrat Abdul El-Sayed in Michigan’s Senate race, continuing a long history of political activism. Hipgnosis founder Merck Mercuriadis praised him in the comments, and the post closed with four words that carried the whole thing:“Our vote is our voice.”A caption sent followers to oathproject.org to take the Oath to the Constitution for themselves.

With control of the House and Senate, plus governor’s mansions and local offices, decided in these midterms, a voice like Springsteen’s puts a spotlight on how those ballots get counted. So we want to hear from you. Does a rock legend speaking up on Election Day change how you feel about the process? Drop your take in the comments.
