All tour dates from July 23 through September 3 have been rescheduled, with the band planning to resume performances on September 24 in West Springfield, Massachusetts. The decision comes after Love has dealt with notable health concerns and vocal difficulties throughout 2026, including a May performance where critics noted his voice had deteriorated significantly.
Love’s struggles have been pretty visible to both fans and reviewers. One Slate critic described his voice during a recent performance as“reduced to a whisper, all warbled, strange, and barely there,”which is a pretty stark reality check about the physical toll touring takes. The Beach Boys had already canceled dates in May when Love fell ill, and although the band tried to resume touring in June, the ongoing challenges made postponement the right call. With Bruce Johnston having already left the touring lineup earlier this year, Love remains the sole connection to the band’s classic era.
The rescheduled tour will continue through May 2027, celebrating the 60th anniversary of the iconic album“Pet Sounds”and marking the 250th anniversary of the United States.
