Allen Bailey, the defensive end who spent eight of his ten NFL seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs, was found dead at his Florida home on Tuesday, Oct. 20. He was 37. His brother, Alford Bailey Jr., told TMZ the family believes he passed from natural causes, though an official cause of death has not been released.

He later played two seasons with the Atlanta Falcons before being released in 2021. Over ten seasons, he recorded 22 sacks and 248 combined tackles.
Tributes are already coming in from those who knew him best, including former Chiefs general manager John Dorsey, who called Bailey“a fellow brother.”His death at 37 also adds fuel to the ongoing conversation about health and safety for retired NFL players. Rest easy, 97.
